This ultra-low-power, 16-channel capacitive touch controller is engineered to deliver responsive, accurate touch detection while minimizing power consumption. It’s ideal for everything from home appliances to industrial control panels, providing robust performance in challenging real-world conditions.


Intelligent Design, Smarter Interaction

The IS31SE5117B features 16 independent capacitive touch channels, each with individually configurable thresholds and automatic calibration. This ensures that every touch is registered accurately, even as humidity, temperature, or surface conditions change.


Built-in hardware monitoring continuously adapts to environmental drift to prevent false triggers, a crucial advantage in applications where reliability and user trust are key.


To further improve system stability, the device includes a shield output that enhances moisture immunity, a common concern in appliances and industrial interfaces.


Built for Efficiency

One of the IS31SE5117B’s standout features is its extremely low power consumption.

  • In sleep mode, it draws less than 10µA, conserving energy in battery-powered or always-on designs.

  • The controller can auto-detect a touch to wake the system, providing instant response without constant polling.


With a 2.7V to 5.5V operating range and temperature tolerance from -40°C to +105°C, the IS31SE5117B is ready for deployment in rugged environments without sacrificing sensitivity or speed.


Seamless Integration

Communication between the IS31SE5117B and the host microcontroller is handled through a 400kHz I²C interface, enabling fast data exchange and flexible configuration. The device also supports interrupt-driven operation — an INT output can be programmed to trigger events whenever a touch is detected, allowing designers to optimize responsiveness without overburdening the system’s main processor.


For applications that demand more, the IS31SE5117B supports multiple-key detection and GPIO control functions, providing both versatility and scalability.
